The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning equipment. His main focus is robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. Multitaskers are ideal for those who are looking to remove mopping from their list of things to do. They feature impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to navigate into tight corners and underneath furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best automatic vacuum and mop navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.

It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help draw away debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger debris such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It doesn't create as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install, and it works well. However when you purchase this vacuum solely for mopping purposes you must pay attention to this.

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a variety of features.

The device comes with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and effectively. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean that's also fairly quick.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach many different surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and dry to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

Another noteworthy feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction intensity and choose a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it must make, which will determine how quickly the device can traverse your home. You can also turn off the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.

The device comes with a expensive price, but comes with a large selection of innovative features. It's crucial to remember that it carries regular costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every three to six months.

The robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes a wide range of physical automation features. It has the power button that serves as a general "Clean' button and a 'Home' button that will send it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module which includes a microfiber pad. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may appear a bit dated, but they do mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing pet hair. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs while other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low and there were nice jingles to inform you that it was starting and getting its work done.

Its biggest drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the requirement to swap out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to store multiple maps. This could be an issue if your house has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot vacuum that vacuums and mops, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and a 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base comes with a few control buttons that let you manually start cleaning tasks, recall the robot or run the dock’s auto vacuum and mop-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on a child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise in finding objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it is entangled in a hazard, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't work until you untangle it manually. This was a rare occurrence however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad isn't washed or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
