WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also added to each upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current level of the item upgrader mod being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor using an button, which will display an image of the Item Level upgrade at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and the current level of the Best item upgrader as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Many locations offer item upgraders in addition to the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the chance to obtain an entirely new recipe. Crests

Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.

The first thing to be aware of is that crests can only be used to purchase gear of a specific rank, and that every rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one requires as many as 20 crests depending on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.

This is particularly applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to take advantage of the account-wide discount if all of the slots are full of high-quality equipment.
