The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first to automatically send you photos of an object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep in areas that you don't want. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off using your voice.

Its design is a step above the competition, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robot rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty, which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one spot rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It was able capture small gravel, sand and even a little grit. The majority of robots cannot accomplish this feat. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

Although it's not as smart as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum and can't clean stairs The J7+ is an excellent choice for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and at times it's difficult to tell if the update is actually working until you see it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the ideal choice. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. These bots also come with various additional features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and although it lacks certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save some hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is remarkably soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a place where most robot vacuums of lower quality aren't able to meet. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic too, with very little missing in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using the buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make the robot vacuum hoover simple to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is simple. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful for setting up schedules or altering settings. The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as competitors, for instance and doesn't come with a dock that lets you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does it all.

However, if you're looking to save money or don't want to think about the limitations of this robotic there are many other great choices available, including a lot of eufy models for substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive and has many more features, like the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets with low pile as well as high-pile ones.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set up, simply attach one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be placed near an outlet and have enough space to move.

The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it is able to be placed under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is more subtle in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from other models. It uses a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and where it can't access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged more quickly and has the same battery life while offering better performance on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and has less difficulty with bulky items like cereal.
