It struggled a bit when it came across longer-pile carpets, and there were a few large, thick mess of dried-on debris.

Like many robots, the S1 Pro comes ready to take off from the box and needs only an initial mapping session to figure out how it can navigate your home. The map will be displayed in the app, and you can join or add rooms as necessary. You can also create virtual boundaries, no-go zones and no-mop areas if you don't want the robot to touch specific objects.

The S1 Pro does a great job of removing messes from hard floors due to its rotary mop head, which puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to both vacuum and mop is a great option for homes with floors of both types. However, its reliance on Eufy cleaning products (which are included in the box) makes it less adaptable as other robots that allow you to use your own cleaning solutions.
