Both robots do well picking up surface debris on carpets and hard floors and they're very adept in moving around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes smart maps of your home that aid the i3+ EVO navigate and clean in a manner that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ doesn't feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we test. It can get stuck on power cords or socks and have trouble moving between different surfaces like carpet and hardwood.

iRobot suggests that you clean the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes putting away any toys or other items it might come across. It's also recommended to keep the bin and filter clean so they do not become blocked by dirt. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or its battery is depleted it will return to its docking station, automatically emptying its trash into the station's dust bin and continues cleaning where it started. The battery's life span is approximately an hour and a half of continuous usage. It takes about three hours to charge.

2. iRobot i7+ Roomba

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model of the flagship line from iRobot, and it has the most up-to-date features. The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy the dust bin is self-emptying which eliminates a major source of maintenance and cuts down on the amount of time spent cleaning.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and to move around the room, and even vacuum the area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. After being connected, to speak commands to the i7+, for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car in a sea of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in most homes, yet it is also small enough to fit on a coffee table or bookcase.
